Project 6 : Design & Build A Small Scale Building

I think project 6 is the most hardest project that I did among all. Project 6 is to design and build an amphitheatre. This consider a big project so there will be 16 members in a group and the 16 members all are from different majors. At first, we need to site visit the topography. After that we need to do our progress report weekly and send it to our group master to evaluate. At last, we need to draw different views of the amphitheatre on 3 A1 size paper and make a final report to present in front of all lecturer of our design. We use the "cocoon" as our design concept which design by our group leader. We use this because it got many open spaces and it is good in ventilation.

Proposed design, Conceptual Sketch, Structural Joints,
Sections And Bubble diagram

Key plan, Location plan, Site plan, Site inventory
and bubble diagram

The elevations, perspective views,
floor plan

After passing up the final report and our amphitheatre design drawing we need to make our design into REAL! And that is the hardest part of this project because we need to buy, measure, calculate and cut the timber. It was very tired when we saw the timber. And we sleep almost 2~3 hours per day during this project. But the pay off was very worth when we see our final outcome. :D

Finally it done! Our amphitheatre, "The Enfold"

My group, Galaxy 11
